An Expert Witness Report is a specialised, detailed report describing defects or non-compliant building works. It is to provide technical expertise relevant to an issue at the centre of a building dispute to be heard at a tribunal hearing, such as the NSW Civil Administrative Tribunal (NCAT). Those involved in a building dispute are required to engage an expert Building Consultant for an Expert Witness Report, including a Scott Schedule detailing remedial action and an estimation of the cost of remedial work.
